VI./2.2.: Description of the dissection
|
 |
The brain weighs 1350 g, on its surface, gyri and sulci are intact, however, gyri are swollen, their surface is flat, sulci are narrowed, filiform. Deep inside the occipital lobe, there is a 3.4 cm, round, dense, metastatic tumor nodule, with sharp borders, and haemorrhage. It breaks out to the convexity of the lobe, in a 1.9cm area. In the left hemisphere, at the border of the frontal and parietal lobes, although embedded in the tissue, but still closer to the convexity of the brain, there is a second metastatic tumor. It is 2.6 cm, forms an irregular egg shape, otherwise it is similar to the previous one. On the cut-surface, grey-, and white matters are distinct. The walls of the basal, cerebral arteries are membraneous, their inner parts are clear.
