  | I./3.1.: RadiologyThe diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome (and also that of a definitive myocardial infarction which occurred earlier) can be confirmed with the help of imaging procedures.I./3.2.: Chest X-rayIt provides no specific diagnostic help, but it may be very useful as an additional examination; it may show the signs of pulmonary congestion in patients with heart failure. Its performance may be required if hypoxia due to pneumonia is supposed to have a role in provoking the infarction; this should be considered primarily in elderly patients. In addition it helps examining a secondary pneumonia which may occur during the patient’s care at the intensive care department. | |
