I./3.1.: Renal agenesis

Renal agenesis is a condition if the evolution of one or both kidneys fails. In congenital renal hypolasia smaller kidney(s) can be observed but in appropriate place. In radiological aspect (US): neither the kidney (it can be found neither in its normal place nor in ectopic position) nor vascular structures of the kidney can be visualized. The contralateral kidney (if it exists) is usually compensatory enlarged.
