II./3.2.: Ultrasound imaging in pregnancy (US)
Antenatally many alterations can be observed beyond the detection of the mass, which is explicable with the giant tumor effect occasionally. So called steal syndrome (via the „sucking effect” of the tumor) can be related to the overload of the fetal heart and the fetal hydrops, and the frequently accompanying placentomegaly. US findings are worth confirming/specifying by MRI in a pregnant woman (left decubitus position is preferred) especially if a surgical plan should be set up.
